Comment:

this mix came about as a last minute preshow/intermission tape for our theatre company. the project was called "time: an exhibition" and dealt with seven pieces of theatre that all had to do with the concept of time in some way. It was a really good time and we ended up with great crowds. the evening itself was full of weird quirky material that i find to be much more invigorating and stimulating than spending ninety bucks to watch something on the great white way....anyway, i think the tape flows nicely and i wanted a combination of old and new (mostly older) pop that would keep the mood upbeat as people milled about. some songs i've used before (they're just so damned good!) and it was fun to see which songs people paid attention to and would sing, nod or tap their feet....so it goes.
