Comment:
This particular edition rooted in Come Monday being forgotten the first time around. This time, it's much less overtly cheezy than its predecessor..In fact, a good bit of it is pretty far from Nashville Cheez, oh, well, it is what it is.And despite the repair or restoration of the image function of AOTM, I prefer the embedded pics, bigger, louder, faster.Feedback:
Without Hearing it yet I like the opener and The Beatles on side one and the CS&N and Bob Dylan & The Band tracks on side two will be looking forward to hearing the whole thing after the DL. Thanks doowad!
i absolutely love that ringo beatles tune, such an underappreciated tune - all the dylan cuts are choice (especially "i'll be your baby tonight"), & i also love the johnny cash, lucinda williams, wilco, REM, patsy cline, elvis presley, chuck berry...another wonderfully twangy selection, as usual - just great
kudos for come monday. there's not enough buffett around here. sometimes you're too cheesy for your own good but then i spy greenville, hesitating beauty, and tulsa time and all is forgiven.
"Come Monday" is one of my all time favorite songs. There is a lot of meat to go with the Cheez.
There's tons of stuff that I love here, but I have to admit that the song that inspired your mix ("Come Monday") and the artist behind it are among my least favorites in the history of music...
Don't let Rob fool ya, he's really a closet Parrot Head. Another fine installment, the Patsy Cline to CSN stretch is my favorite.
Less cheesey but still plenty zesty ! Glen Campbell doing Classical Gas! Awesome
This looks like a helping and a half!Always liked "Last Date" and "Don't Pass Me By."
Three cheers for Patsy, Porter, Parton. Always nice to see Nick lowe on a mix. And that's a fabulous opener on Side 1. More excellence..
Awesome collection.
Love the opener, after that I'm pretty much ignorant, as usual.
This is laid on thick! A fantastic listening journey. Great mix.
Man, you've got those crackers covered! It's amazing & inspiring to me how you keep coming up with these big thick tasty cheese sandwiches -
fromage...but in a good way!
F yes. Love this. The coverart just tickles me. Another incredible installment.
Greatness, though I could always do without Freddy Fender.
