Comment:

This is a pretty soft and depressing album that I made for my brother who just lost the best thing that ever happened to him. I don't believe in trying to cheer people up when they do not want to so I put together some of the most depressing love songs I could find. I hope that he enjoys the melancholy sounds and starts to feel better soon.

Title taken from the Mojave 3 song

This is really nice. A track from my favourite Moz album is a great start, love the 3-5 run. Always a sucker for Mojave 3. The 13-18 run is great too. Fine mix..

it's been ENTIRELY too long since you've posted here, & this only confirms how sorely you were missed - shame about the motivation behind it, but it makes for a beautifully sad mix - love the death cab, cure, moz, b&s, radiohead, blur & mag fields tracks especially...

Ditto lombardi! Out of great pain does come great art, or sometimes great mixes.

Thanks for missing my mixes Anthony and for the nice comments everyone. Luckily Dead Heaven, the pain is not mine but I have had my heart ripped out a few times so I could just draw from experience.

I hope your brother cheers up anyhow. Other good things will come along. Good call on the DeVotchKa track.

a sweet mix. don't know many of these tunes offhand, but I do know many of the groups and it looks like a solid set. two of my closest friends split up in Feb. '07 and spent most of this year real sad. now they're both dating new people and slowly re-discovering the excitement of life. tell your brother to look to the future; it's brighter just up ahead. tell him tornadoZ says so.

This is sweet. I particularly love the Blur tune, but like most of the rest, including Sebadoh, Magnetic Fields, AAS and B & S.
