Comment:

I finally had the chance to sit down and properly pay tribute to one of the most unique and playfully innovative (not to mention unfairly unheralded, at least on this side of the pond--I and about 40 other people watched them perform in '02 at a large club when they were touring to support their monolithically successful Rings Around the World album) bands of the past more-than-a-decade. In an eleven-year recording career (at least as SFA), they have made (IMHO) only one weak album, 2005's Love Kraft, and this was actually super-hard to whittle down. Think of them as a Welsh Radiohead with more cajones and next-to-no pretension. There were so many "last tracks cut" that I'll post them later when I have more time. :-)

I agree, Love Kraft was Weak, but Hey Venus - what a comeback. One of the finest brit bands around, I love everything here, and more

They don't get enough plaudits this side of the pond either. Maybe it's because they're Welsh or maybe they're too difficult to categorize, at least as far as lazy music journalists are concerned. They should have had all the attention Oasis have had over the years ;)

Love the mix. I think you're being too harsh on Love Kraft though. Zoom! and Ohio Heat are two of my favourite Furry tracks. I made a one disc mix myself before Hey Venus came out.

One of my two favourite bands of all time Rob so this can't fail for me. I wouldn't call LoveKraft weak as such, though they've still yet to better Mwng I think. Anyway, so many great songs here, you could make at least another disc and still pack it with tunes. Great work.

Vocoder aside, "Juxtapozed With U" has always reminded me very much of Elvis Costello circa '83-'84. Am I nuts?
