Comment:

In the tenth grade one of our assignments was to make a "soundtrack" for one of our outside reading books, and the track listing was in "Theme/Mood/Setting/Protagonist/Antagonist/Climax" order. As such, I have my explanations (errors and redundancy included at no extra charge) from the original CD below to explain for those who don't know these songs:

1. This song conveys the theme of the story. When Noguchi joins the Predators she decides whether or not to stay with them because she doesn't know where she belongs. This song conveys her theme that you will never know who you are until you find the one place where you belong.

2. Listening to this short electronic piece evokes the mystery that Noguchi feels when she is on the Predator ship (which she has dubbed "shell" for obvious reasons), listening to language that she can hardly understand, surrounded by alien technology, and traveling with the nomadic predators.

3. "Under the burning sun, I take a look around. Imagine if this all came down." These words describe the chaos and panic that ensues as the predators begin the Hunt.

4. This song describes Noguchi's life from when she lives with the human race to when she lives with the Predators. The entirety of the time, she feels lonely; "Desperation, devastation, All I truly know/ Is isolation, Self-damnation/ All life that I'd own was shed and worthless now!

5. This song describes the predators in their stealth, when they hunt in their cloaking devices, most of their victims don't even know what is going on until their death. The Predators are, in essence, smooth criminals.

6. This song conveys Noguchi's anger when she finds out the Predators are hunting humans and everything they taught her was a lie. She then makes it her objective to punish the predators for lying to her and then betraying her.I ended up getting an "A" on this assignment. Quite the nostalgia trip, now.
