Comment:
A lot of our usual suspects, exclusively from the fairer gender. It seemed like the women got a lot less greasy and grungy as the mix wore on, thankfully Etta & Janis were there to save the day
Feedback:
I'm in love with everyone of them.
I'm in love with our cover model. Fantastic job, Derek...can't wait to give this a listen!
I like my women greasy and grungy, but the clean and oil-free ladies here are alright too! Thank you Brothers!
Terrific.
Unspeakably great. Quel surprise!
Good stuff bros - I love that opener, Neko, and the Aretha/Mahalia bit is mouthwatering. Love the Mavis & Martha also - dammnit, pretty much everything here..
lots of curveballs here mixed amongst a bunch of classic tried-&-trues - love the aretha, amy winehouse, 6ths, emmylou, neko case, gillian welch & whiskeytown in particular...
This would be great for ladies night at my brother's bar.
Whoa! I thought I'd commented on this before. This is tremendously great.
Grease and women - now there's a combination that brings vivid images to mind. Don't know if Neko Case falls into the above category but she sure is good. I've seen her a half dozen times, though never with the New Pornographers.
