Comment:
i believe i have succeeded in creating a singularly gloomy & strange christmas/winter mix. even the christmas carols that are on here are a bit depressing; even the raucous new orleans jazz ones (tracks 14 and 15) are sad, because anything reminiscent of new orleans is sad; and seriously, have you ever really listened to the lyrics of "have yourself a merry little christmas?" it is very, very sad. (that's where the title comes from, obviously.) i just have to face the fact that even during joyous occasions - heck, especially during joyous occasions - i will always be touched with a little melancholy.Feedback:
wonderfully done. appreciate the rasputina and tom waits, really impressive variety here. and "go tell it on the mountain" is my favorite.
