Comment:

Obviously some standards. I have in the covers to demonstrate the argument of the mix: the 1980s were better. The Bowling for Soup song makes the argument referencing material I wish I had enough time to play, but 80 minutes is too short for the glory that was my childhood.

Really interesting mix--though I think some of the transitions are on the neck-snappingly abrupt side! Interesting pick with the VU track, too--the world did find out about the track in the 80s though it was recorded 20 years earlier...

They are abrupt, I will admit that, although I think some of the abruptness in music is fairly smooth in song concept. As for VU being a 20 yr old song, I am also guilty of not knowing that.

And the 70's were better than the 80's . And I'm certain the 60's would have been better than the 70's if I'd been zigzagging through my youth in that decade. These things are fine if you get your facts right, Alison was released a few years before the 80's. There are some tracks on here that I would use as an argument for the utter awfulness of 80's music and some, like the Dead Kennedys and the Cure, that support your claim. Every decade has vast reservoirs of good music, you just have to dig deep enough.

Some top tunes here but disagree big time with your belief that the 80's were better than the 90's!
