Comment:
78:53Minimalist ambient & found-sound structures/compositions...for frost-streaked winter evenings (but not necessarily beside the fireplace). The recent turn of frigid weather made it the right time to post the mix. I nearly categorized this one as `Experimental'...very borderline-ish from top to tail (and be careful not to get lost within the drones...).
Track 10, meant to pull you back from out the ether-haze, continues playing after 2 brief, purposeful, gaps of silence by the composer, into Track 11 (an atmospheric radio transmission from Saturn via the
Cassini Saturn space mission) and finally, a `hidden' track. Happy 2008!

Found sounds? New one on me. But it looks perfect for the phrozen weather here.
Excellent compilation...great choices...The only thing missing is an appearance by Weird Al! Happy New Year!

To me, the collection conjures up a glacier-like atmosphere, with the tracks
gently floating into each other. At the end, the more lively sounds give a
feeling of the sounds of the real world re-entering one's consciousness,
akin to waking up from a drone-filled sleep... ah, I see, as so often, words
cannot do the music justice (I am a follower of Schopenhauer here).
Of course, as an Eno fan, I liked the live version of 2/2 very much. The
Milieu track is also excellent.
