i made this for a girl i had to leave because she was unable or unwilling to stop abusing alcohol. heavy stuff.

each song represents the progression i took. from denial (song one) to realization (song 4) to regret (song 10) to the false hope that things will get better (song 15, and 17) to acceptance. (the last song)

i couldn't find a decent translation of the caetano veloso song, which is my favorite. but the rough portuguese to english goes something along the lines of:

nothing in this world will erase what we have made together, not the largest of our errors,our mistakes or remorse.

i see these people we produced in us, and nothing will contradict what comes out of my voice.

if this makes you as sad as I feel, i've done my job. i only wish she could hear it.
