Comment:

I think every mixtaper, at some point, has made an "I love you, babe" mix for their significant other. This is mine for my girlfriend, except rather than just hurl endless love ballad at her until nausea ensues, I thought I'd use it to explain where I came from to where I am now, in love.

The Bright Eyes and Halifax songs just introduce the mix (there's no track listing on the CD so she has no idea what's in store). These segue into the breakup of my last "relationshit" ("Dammit"). This is where I went through the self-depreciating "everything sucks" stage ("Fallen") that we all go through for a time. After, I decide the kind of person I actually want to be with in a relationship ("Nudes"; "I wanna talk like I'm talking to myself"), before I meet someone that I automatically have subconscious feelings for ("Creep"). The "just friends" stage was skipped, and I'm not sure whether that was a good idea, but the mix nevertheless skips to our "let's give this a try" moment ("Written In Blood"). The following track is probably the greatest joke of romantic moments in human history; this was the first song we kissed to (if you've heard the song you realize the hilarity). Then I'm slightly confused about the state of things before my decision to actually enter a relationship ("M+Ms" and "Everything's Magic"). The next track is self-explanatory; both of us together. Enter the love "ballads".

We're not sure where this is all going, but we definitely know that our time together will be slightly cut off when we go to separate colleges (take a wild guess what this track is). I'm not really sure why I included "No I In Threesome", but my guess now is that this is when we get to that "the passion's gone" phase all couples stumble into, if that ever happens to us. Then again it could just be the threesome I've just created; me, her, and this mix.
