Comment:
For the hell of it in provisional honor of my seventh anniversary (today, 1/22) on AotM. Thanks to lo-fi for the Acid Seven Group track (included on his fantastic Japrocksampler mix--probably my favorite mix of '07) and thanks to all of the fantastic folks on this site who have introduced me to so much great music. Title by Ian McCullough & Gruff Rhys, respectively and presumably.Feedback:
Happy Anniversary, sir. Needless to say, I really like the Conway/Little Richard transition. The last bit looks appropriate too (especially the Nesmith title).
One of my favorite 'Mats tunes. And a whole of music I've never heard. Damn!
Great Television and Furries pix. 7 up Rob!
Seven Stars for your anniversary, Rob.
Happy Anniversary! Great songs on here by the way... I'm really diggin' the 2-4 stretch.
Congrats on the Anniversary. Love lots here, especially 5-8 and the closing 4.
a milestone like this only deserves the best, & of course you've stepped up to the plate. so many fantastic songs here, rob, but i have to single-handedly mention the 'mats song being one of my all-time favorite for very personal reasons.
Starting with the wonderful Sour Milk Sea, I need to dig out my crackly 7", and going places I've never been e.g. Crazy Horse and Acid Seven Group, who are these people? As usual, take some praise from me.
Happy Anniversary!
This looks GREAT!
Congrats, Sir.
Congrats, Sir.
Happy anniversary to you and happy anniversary to me! (I didn't know your AotM day was the same as my b-day)
always nice to see your FTOI mixes, hope you stay on here forever
Happy anniversary to you, my friend. I just realized the other day that I've been hanging around here for quite a few years myself. Always a treat seeing a FTHOI from you and this is no exception. Transition from Acid Seven->Conway Twitty looks very interesting, to say the least. ;-) Oh yeah, I LOVE that Bobb Trimble track unreservedly. Sooo beautiful. Of course, the 'Mats track rules! Good day, sir.
From Bee Gees to Lighning Bolt, your mixes never cease to enlighten. Happy 7! (Is there a Conway Twitty single artist mix in the works?)
Cool mix. Loads of goodies in this one particularly that 3 to 7 and 10 to 14 stretches. Can't wait to hear this.
A belated Happy 7th, Rob. Super Cool mix. I love that Conway Twitty track; you may remember it being one of my Karaoke choices on an early mix of mine. Lots more to love here..
In the words of the Little River Band.... happy anniversary, baby.. got you on my mind.... Nice to see Conway here.
Yeah, happy 7 and a nice way to celebrate of course.
Excellent Mix. Acid Seven to Conway Twitty is a geniu-xtaposition. Happy 7th Anniversary!
7 years huh? Long may you run my friend. Love that SFA pick.
cheese and rice! it's been seven years already?
another incredible job, mister conroy.
another incredible job, mister conroy.
Wow, lots of anniversaries these days (mine will be on Feb. 20th). Lots to love on this one!
Am finally getting round to weighing in here - SEVEN years?! That's a lot of track combinations. All of them good, including this one! I think the structure of this is great - the Echo/Furries combination is great, especially near the beginning there. Excellent Little Richard inclusion as well! Many happy mixing returns to you.
