Comment:

so, my preliminary comments were way too long, and i just didn't want to spend all that time editing the text.

anyways, i had this dream where i went to Heaven, and all people did up there was talk about Adolf Hitler. it was awful. (download this mixtape here)

Okay, the mix itself plays like a dark dramatic movie score that makes me think one word ... EPIC! My Hitler dream story: My sister and I have had a running joke for years about this dream I had that I was back in high school and it was my job to interview Hitler for my school newspaper. In my dream I was terrified to meet him and talk to him (cause, duh, Hitler = scary) until I was there and it was obvious that Adolf was clearly off his rocker and acted like Julia Child. He even wore a frou-frou little ruffled apron. I dreamed that I interviewed Hitler while he made us dinner and gave me tips on how to keep the tips of the chicken's wings from burning when you roast it in the oven. My sister and I are always making jokes about what Hitler was really like. I sent her a link to the cover art you chose with this: 'I mean, sure he was a war monster and what not, but the real Adolf, underneath ... I bet he color coded the drapes, arraigned flowers and picked out Eva's jewelry to match her dresses. Can't you just imagine him flitting about his little bunker with a feather duster fluffing the pillows? I bet he yells when you forget to wipe your feet.' All day I've been getting random "ha ha ha ha effing hil-to-the-freaking-larious' back from her via text message. It's safe to say we enjoyed the cover art. I jsut had to tell you, even though it was inadvertent, we laughed about this all day.Oh yeah and Peter Br÷tzmann & Keiji Haino "Song V." seriously creeped me out. Had I been in a bar and the guy on stage performed that ... I'd be leaving. That's walk out territory right there. Whatever that is, it's not music. I listened to it once then worried that neighbors had heard it. The last time I heard something like that I shot it to put it out of it's misery.

I am not much of a Scott Walker fan, but this mix is A+++ in my book, from the title to the dream that inspired it to the well-sequenced run of tunes. Actually, perfect company for Walker there, so I take my opening statement back ;-)
