Comment:
So here it is, over a year since Volume 2, here is Part 3 of what I can now officially call a series. And it's a series I'm very happy with. The idea is basically gathering tracks from the numerous mixes I've listened to since moving to Planet Art Of The Mix. Everything here was completely new to me, yet now stuck in my head like great songs do.The first AotM Discoveries, from back in June 2006 remains the best mix I've posted, or certainly my favourite. It's still available to download here . Get your mits on Vol 2 here.
And if your name doesn't appear on any of these three mixes, don't despair, a fourth volume can be arranged. In 2008 it's my wish to trade with Media Vixen, Sean Lally, Gobi, P the Swede, mahdishain..
But for now, enjoy AotM Discoveries : 3 as either a Mix or Individual Tracks
30 songs, and yes, they all fit on one CD!
Feedback:
Great fun and proud to be a part of it.
Applause. This is the spirit of AofM that I love. I'd be happy to knock one name off your list for 2008.
Tom speaks for me on this.
I agree with Tom as well and I love the work you have put into with the search links. Cooler than cool.
Wonderfully concentrated pop, I'm imagining! Thank you, Sammy!
Fantastic and really nice to be among such illustrious mixers. And to have my song next to Rob's great pick!
one of my favorite series on the site, as well, pretty much exemplifying what's so wonderful about this place - glad to be a part of it, sammy, can't wait for vol. 4
Cheers, you included us. It's the first time anyone has used one of our choices in a mix. This reminds one how many examplary mixers there are on AOTM.
Wow...this looks great, and to be included with so much talent...thanks for the nod, Sam.
This is incredible. Always love your mixes and your community leadership. SammyG for President, I say.
Collective pat on the back to all of us, I'm proud to be a part of this and can't wait to hear it. Merci beaucoup Sam.
Wow, what an incredible series - I am honored to be part of it!
Simply incredelicious!
Great concept for a mix. Nice to be included in such company.
Again, wow! First of all you are quite welcome for the Sunny Gale track, oo-chang-a-lang. But mainly, props to you Sam, for all you've done to enhance the AOTM experience.
what a great collection, Sam--put together with your usual care and expertise. marked tons of favorites here, but best of all is that Thomas Mohr pick. by the way, I just learned that The Kroezes still have a weekly ministry at a church in Everett, about 20 miles north of Seattle. I'll have to check out their "live show." wish you could come along and be saved.
Thanks for the shout-out and thanks for this.
I second Sally. Very cool, Sam, both as a gesture and the mix.
It's great to see my name up thee with all my favorite mixers. I've had many many AotM discoveries as well, several from you yourself Sammy.
Neat-o!
This is nice, but what makes it better is that you made this mix pretty cohesive with so many varying styles. Nicely done Sam... look forward to round IV.
So many cool people (and cool songs) represented here, Sammy. You're the site's unofficial cheerleader, and we all appreciate your cheerfulness and teamwork. I selected you as a write-in candidate when I voted tonight.
Sharing music is the second greatest thing in the universe, you know. I'm overjoyed to have my name on the list. Keep on keeping the community strong, Sammy. Cheers!
The only artist I actually own an album by is Band of Horses, so there should be a lot to discover. Thanks.
nice
I listened to this at work and it surely lightened up my day! Jam-packed with musical treats, and a great mix.
Thanks Sammy! It's every girl's dream to be sandwiched between Moe & blasikin. And that is my all-time favorite tornadoZ mix cover, besides this one of course:
*blushing*
How very exciting ! First off, I am downloading now and cannot wait to listen (I can't think that I know anything here) . . . second, let me repeat, I am downloading !! Yeee haaargh !! I couldn't do that from Dubai, so I am very excited. Third, I get to trade with you this year . . . we'll do that very soon . . . . (I should have sent you an e-mail . . . sorry) . . .
I'm honoured to be included again and privileged to have listened to your creations. This is mighty, and a glowing tribute to the breadth of taste, knowledge, and styles around here. Cheers Sam.
Mighty decent of you to remember us, Sam. The Bohannon horn of plenty overflows down river at Ponytone.com
Oh, outstanding. I haven't been around these here parts for a while, and I need this kinda thing to lure me back. Consider me lured, and vive AOTM!
AWESOMLY AWESOME DUDE! (that's how i would say it) Yes, Yes vewy nice! (that's how my dad, doowad would say it) It doesn't matter how or in what langage you say it it will all mean the sam thing. Thanks for putting my song from my 'Frenchy' mix on here. My dad is going on every single mix from the find a mix. He found this and said, "Why don't yo be a nice little girl and put a comment on here?' Anyways, I hope you've enjoyed my newest mix. My dad showed my the pics of your little 'avag123'. SHE'S SO CUTE!!! Feliz Easters! -Doowadette
