Comment:

I had three aims with this mix:

I wanted to incorporate songs that, while not explicitly referencing an end-of-the-world situation, came close to capturing the manic fun and despair that one might feel if one received the unfortunate news that the end of times was near.

To that end, I also threw in a couple of what-the-hell songs that seemed to fit.

I wanted to end with The Beach Boys.

Some of the songs are new, most are old but all of 'em are good.

If you try to play it through Facebook, it won't work.

I like this. I pretty much FEEL like this. I would humbly suggest adding BLOW THE HOUSE DOWN by Siouxie and the Banshees. It would have to be my favourite apocalyptic song

You will insult Dr. BLT by not crediting Eve of Destruction to Barry McGuire. Nice idea though.

crikey, what a miserable looking photo . . . must be somewhere in the former Soviet Union and I bet I have sold some printers and photocopiers there (I used to get some right crappy territories)Anyway, the mix is much better and positively upbeat in comparison . . . although Bonnie 'Prince' Billy can be a bit of a misery when he wants . . .
