Oo Poppa Do!
Comment:
This year's Valentine to my honey. I spent more time picking out tunes I knew he liked (like 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 17, 18, 25, 26 and 29) added things I thought he'd enjoy, and of course, the requisite buglady picks (1, 3, 8, 9, 14, 21 & 28). It went over well, I think.
Feedback:
That Angels song is untouchable. Also liking the Kinks, ?, T-Bone, and Troggs. Looks great!
Great Stuff on here! My dad's not supposed to be on here but he's heard about it and thinks its great stuff also. Anyways, HAPPY MIXING!!!
this is just gorgeous on every level - that kinks track especially is a real killer, one of my all-time favs - great!
beautiful. i really like 6,12,17,and 19.
No flat spots on this one. Thanks for sharing.
Looks great, how could it not go over well?!!
Lucky bugman. No 22 my pick!
This is absolutely fantastic. I love so many of these and have actually used #28 (my personal favorite here) in my day. ;-) Super-sweet!
Wonderful collection. I got some favs here too... 4-6,15,19,26,29 but of course it's all great.
Love the April March,Archies,Angels and Spencer Davis. Your mixes are always intriguing.
What's there not to love? Plenty of tried and true love songs to please any luvva~
I'm delighted with your re-emergence as one of AotMs main players, every mix you've posted this year has been delightful. This maybe the mostest. Love pretty much everything here the 19-25 run in particular. And the Flamingos..
I've seen Peter Case on two V-Day mixes already this year. Who'd have thunk it? Nice closing song.
This is rally great, the opening trio sets the standard.
Considering how many love songs there are, it's surprising how rarely a really good valentine mix comes along. This is it for this year!
Really enjoyed this mix. Was wonderfully upbeat and romantic, which is stating the obvious. Nice.
I'd like to second Sammyg's first two sentences, but my particular favorites are different from his: particularly Blossom Dearie, The Archies, Kay Martin, Elvis Presley, Barbara Lewis and The Angels. and you know, Elvis on a mix seems so... obvious, that sometimes one can forget how absolutely wonderful so many of his songs are. it's like re-discovering him all over again. "Too Much" is a prime example. I was in a dark grey mood when the day began, and your mix turned my mood purple! thanks.
sweet
I love both of your all's taste, ? and the T-Bone closer in particular, but really all of it is 11 out of 5 stars worth.
