Comment:
Heh.I figured a title like that might make the track list seem more sensible by comparison. Not sure what I was thinking with this one but, then again, maybe I just wasn't. It was a nice change of pace from my usual fussing over the sequencing and transitions. Special thanks to buglady, whose recent use of that Angels track reminded me how awesome it is. Also, thanks to my brother for track four, and an extra special thanks to Corey Haim for track three.
Feedback:
Anything with the Reigning Sound is aces in my book. That Vampire Weekend to the Angels stretch is really great. Great mix.
This is great. I love Rockin' Sydney - and this mix is very much brightening my afternoon.
all I really know is the They might be Giants song and the Angels' tune but both are ace.
Really like the TMBG, Devo, Police, Squeeze and I've had Pop Song '89 stuck in my head for some reason recently....
SO Many great picks. The Dave Clark Five, The Reigning Sound, Vampire Weekend (a guilty pleasure for me, as well) and the Mysterians...and on and on and on it goes. Great stuff. Oh, and Cornershop and Bill Haley...too awesome.
Some cool stuff here, particularly that Clarence Henry track that I absolutely love.
Zydelicious. Listen to your brother, brothers always know.
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life . . . keep it spinning.
glad to see jim noir represented here along with new absolutely favorites vampire weekend - tracks 13, 15, 18 & 21 really do it for me as well
Love it! Looks like a rockin' good time!
Stretched out finely from the not so well known to the oft lauded. Shine a light on me.
Great, now I've got that "Frogman" Henry tune stuck in my head again. Love the TMBG, Devo, Police, Squeeze and REM and just picked up the Vampire Weekend disc. Lots to love.
Lots of cool picks here... all over the place.
Terrific spread of unlikely bedfellows here. Really cool. Love that Cornershop song.
Ain't nuthin' wrong with fun!
This is excellent. And, yes, fun fun fun. Can't decide what my favourite track here is.. love My Toot Toot (who doesn't?), Cornershop, R.E.M, Squeeze.. The terrific Angels closer, my mate Jim, ? and the Mysterians. But i'll go for the Jimmy Soul Number - catchiest song ever!
I like Fun! And I really love that Reigning Sound track.
easy and fun, good that way
Love the Cornershop and ? but cool all round.
Corey Haim! Great one, Matt. What a fantastic change of pace, from the Dave Clark to them Rem boys (as Neil says) and Squeeze, TMBG...Hey, and thanks for reminding me about Peter Wolf, who has been a long-time favorite of mine, but always neglected.
