"No Man's Land"
Comment:
There is a desolate, depressing hour long stretch of highway between my sister and I's houses through Kenedy County in Texas that there is no cell phone or wireless service of any kind available. Even radio stations fade out to nothingness leaving us with only the wind as our entertainment. So we always exchange CD mixes to listen to on the way before hand. If I'm visiting her she sends me a mix to listen to. If she's visiting me, I send her one. I live about a block from the Gulf of Mexico so she's been at my house, chilling on the beach for Spring Break. She's leaving soon to go home because her kids have school starting again on Monday. This is the mix I made her for the trip through what we affectionately refer to as "No Man's Land" because she's not much of an indie kid, but expressed a desire to learn some new artists.Feedback:
looks interesting to this old dude that has only heard three of the artists of the whole batch - i'll listen to it in the morning when i clean the house - thank you.
Track 17 for band and song name have got me intrigued. Love that representation of Texas, it's like a curvy Mondrian.
you picked jesca hoop's best song to include.
Love Jesca, The Gossip, and Happy Bullets. Sweet mix.
Who needs radio or cellphones when you have mixes like this one?
