Comment:
Well, I gave up the Art of the Mix during Lent, inspired by my wife and daughter giving up their own computer vices.Nevertheless, I did not give up on practicing the art of the mix and this particular mix has been pieced together little by little since Ash Wednesday. In any case, the experience or the concept of it all was basically the inspiration, with a few thoughts of my mujer and snippets of sequences that flowed through my brain in the interim and seemed to fit the theme, whatever it may be.Feedback:
Terrific! Welcome back, we missed you around here. AíFeliz Pasqua a usted tambien!
Rejoice! You're back! Can't wait to listen.
Lots of good stuff hear...
Just in time for today. It saves me (ha-ha) from making my own Easter mix.
Hahaha! I can't belive you lasted so long! It reminds me of the dream i had last night where you deleted this mix because you didn't like it and started from scratch. Good thing that didn't happen! ;-) Anyways, thank you for formating my junk monk and salt mix into word! GREAT MIX! especially, BJORK!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

back with a bang. love the bruce pick, a visit from my old hero ian, and some help spreading the luminescent orchestrii word. thanks! missed you, my friend.
Ahh... NOW I understand the "personal reasons" that drew you away from here. As a former lapsed Catholic (who has since drifted to the border between agnositicism and atheism), I should have put two and two together. ;-) Cool mix and welcome back! :-)
Cuarenta dfas y cuarenta noches - glad to see you back in action again, and felices pascuas.
A triumphant return. The White Stripes, Pogues and Kinky are favorites here.
I do this same thing every year; a lenten mix to get back to the spiritual a bit. Added this to the Thank God: Religious Mix exhibit. Nice mix of songs & love the cover.
yay! derek is back! good to have you 'round these parts again, you've been sorely missed. couldn't have kicked off your grand return with a better mix - lovin' the white stripes, springsteen, hold steady, pogues, pixies, MMJ & B&S tracks alot. maybe it's time we start on that alt.dj mix, eh?
Worried you'd been scared off by all the Darth Pazazu mixes. Love the Pixies and Belle & Sebastian tracks. If Jesus gives it the thumbs up well then who am I to question the son of God?
....and now you should celebrate the fifty days of Easter. Springsteen, Pixies, Pogues, Zevon, and many other highlights. Welcome back!
wicked but really cool
Welcome back Derek! Thai song on its way!
Giving up AotM for lent, made me chuckle, even if the motives behind it were serious, sorry. Welcome back, and what a terrific mix. Great Hold Staedy, Pogues and Belle & Seb picks..
wow . . . you do have self control . . . I was going to give up wine for lent and lasted a pathetic 2 days . . . but giving up AOTM and computer vices, now that is impressive ! Even Facebook ?!?!
Thumbs up, indeed!
How on earth did I miss this one when you posted it? The opening pair kicks all kinds of ass and the rest is a rich, sprawling follow-up. And, hey, there's the Tallest Man On Earth again! Really need to hear that whole disc sometime...
