My father died two weeks ago today, but I don't know that that's what impelled this mix. He didn't like jazz, at least not the same kind of jazz I like. Nonetheless, I've put together this long-playing program of live performances that, should I ever reach that mythical, imaginary realm, I hope to hear with my own ears. Yeah. [album art full size]

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Your mix is fantastic (that version of Straight, No Chaser is the best I've heard yet) and also your blog entry is very touching. It can be very consuming and frustrating to have people trying to impose their religious beliefs on a time of mourning.
