Comment:

I've been a huge fan of U2 since high school in the early '80s, and while I haven't loved all the changes they've gone through, I've continued to collect their singles and rare tracks. A couple of these tracks come from the new 20th anniversary edition of The Joshua Tree, but most are from singles or obscure compilations and don't show up on any U2 B-side collection. I particularly love the early original versions of songs that were later rerecorded for Boy and Under a Blood Red Sky.  [album art full size]

If Bono didn't turn my stomach, I'd LOVE this.

U2 certainly divide opinion around these parts. Whereas some of the early stuff I find tolerable their later work I find bombastic and lumpen. But then I've never been a big fan of anthemic rock bands.I have to say Bono makes me want to retch too, he's just such a smug irritant.

At least Bono has his charitable side, which is laudable. I'm not one that finds this band unappealing. Thanks for the compilation.

I can nevermind the bollocks and enjoy the hell out of this.
