slipstream.5
Comment:
73:55Ambient wanderings...with an experimental streak smack in the middle (tracks 4, 5 & 6). I utilized Audacity to carve out portions of several long-form pieces so as to accommodate the eighty minute construct under which we all labor. In the
end, the resultant sound reminded me of an earlier series...so I retrofitted
the original artwork and...badda-bing. A shout-out to "Low-Light" Dave, who sporadically hits these boards, for my use of a section of his excellent mix, A Drift on the Signal (see link, above).

Please don't lose any of this data....
I've listened to the first four installments in this series, so a new addition is indeed exciting. It shall be my soundtrack to soaking up some sun tomorrow.
Okay, I've got to ask.... just how big is the endorsement deal you have going with Audacity? ;) Looking forward to finding the time to enjoy this.
If you count the g.a.b. talking action figure, the branded Bazooka-l@bs
comic strip inserts & the SONY CD-R on-pack Mix...pretty gosh-dang
BIG, Patrick ~;- D...
...but seriously; I hope, when & if the time comes, that you like it.

I too am ready to wander. As for Audacity, it is a wonderful toy and an essential tool and is free.
Hahahaha..."g.a.b. talking action figure..." That's too, too funny...Looking forward to some quiet time with these sounds...Thanks for creating such provocative compilations...This one looks terrific...
Listened to this on my headphones as I walked home last night. It was perfect. Look forward to the g.a.b. l@bs lunchbox.
Quintessential labs.
Now That's What I Call g.a.b. l@bs! I'm a big fan of Buck, Chalenor, Zazou,
Chamberlain, Fripp, Reflin; although I too like to refer to them as just 'Fripp, et al'.. !

Ha ha, Sammy...yeah I'd need an inner centerfold to accommodate all
those names (Illustrator kept crashing due to data overload!!). Reflin wrote & said he didn't mind...but that Buck was slightly pissed. Then, thanks
to Tornadoz' recent mix, I remembered Doris 'Que Serra Serra' Day, and
thought, "Awww...wtf"~;- D

Really like this, and the roadtrip jazz mix. Gonna have to find time to listen to more.
Thanks ghandi, & everyone, for the comments.
For any interested, I've temporarily placed the previous editions of slipstream (1 ~4) in the 'Download' folder. They'll be there until the end of April.

FINALLY got a chance to sit and listen to this.... Really nice work, Gene.
your mixes are perfect for cloudy mornings... and I hope you take that as a compliment. lovely stuff again, with Jonathan Hughes, Scott Solter and The Lost Data Project as highlights in this slipstream.
Ambiente del furioso con delicatano nuancio. It don't make no sense, but by all that's atmospheric, it scratches that itch. No habla, mais pourquoi-pas.
