The Fixx, Kristin Hersh, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Magnetic Fields are the ones I know and love. if I gave music to someone planning a trip from Seattle to Kennewick, I'd replace Wham! with Yaz's "Don't Go."

upon listening, re-kindled my love for the John Lennon song, and enjoyed Giant Drag track too. one of my favorite karaoke moments was at the bar in Ballard's Sunset Bowl. an elderly woman who had been sitting all alone with a drink slowly shuffled to the mic when her name was called and blew all the youngsters away with her gorgeous rendition of "Wicked Game."

tornadoZ - it's the sort of song that reminds you of who you can't call on your cell while you're all weepy in the middle of a department store.


last time i went to sunset bowl one of the pull tab queens went gaga over four year old zoey. hey, we got to keep the bumpers up on the lanes, which was fine by me. they should go ahead and make the place a historic landmark.
