Kelly Willis has recorded six albums, including her latest - Translated From Love - produced by Chuck Prophet. A review in the New York Times said of her music, "She offers painful tales of lost love but then expresses the resolve to move on. Hovering between romantic fantasy and deflated realism, Willis taps a rare subtlety of feeling."
Willis has been on tour most of last year and into 2008 in support of the new album. She had spent the previous four years writing songs with husband Bruce Robison and sister-in-law Emily Robison of the Dixie Chicks, besides raising her four children.
I have seen Willis on three occasions, both as a solo performer and in an acoustic duo setting with her husband. You might have seen them together in commercials for the product Claritin. They are both warm and accomplished musicians.
Quiz: Willis appeared as a right-wing folksinger in what movie? First correct answer wins a copy of this mix with accompanying artwork.

Feedback:
Hmmm, would the movie be "Bob Roberts"? Love her voice.
i have only a passing knowledge but i aim to correct that. thanks!
Track 13 seems to have gone missing.
Congrats to Mark Petrucelli on winning the quiz.
And track 13 is not there because the tracks were inadvertently misnumbered. I simply skipped over #13 like a building that doesn't have a 13th floor for reasons of superstition.
