2007-2008 My life as an adult in this craphole Olympia
Comment:
When I was in High school, Olympia was awesome. It was the place to be, it was magic and anything I wanted to do, I could do in Olympia. Everybody was this dingey awesome, and I felt so unworthy. Now I realize it's a crappy place to find a job and its full of people with undeserved superiority complexes. I guess I just don't want to be a pseudo-intellectual asshole anymore.
Feedback:
Olympia in London, that's the place to be, they hold record fairs there every three months or so. Most of this meets my approval for what that's worth.
Wow, sounds just like Columbia where I grew up. Like Steve Earle said, "ain't nuthin' bring you down like your hometown."Lots to love here, my daughter and I are always happy to see Python on a mix.
Reminds me of the Loop here in St. Louis...Lots of "Cooler than you" attitude.
Great stuff on here. I especially love seeing Cibo Matto. "Shut Up and Eat!" : )Also, I agree with doowad and doowadette, Monty Python is always good. Thanks!

Iggy, Bowie, Clash, Sleater-Kinney, Python, Flight of the Conchords...love it!
well, I think you might be referring to the Olympia down the street. I've always enjoyed the town on my visits and there's a good breakfast joint in Olympia I like to go to sometimes. and there's also a cool late-night vintage cafe/diner on one of the main streets downtown... but you know all of this. there are both wonderful and idiotic people anywhere you go, so it's kind of up to each of us to make the most of where we are. but still, I know what you mean. I once dated someone from Olympia and he turned out to be a total loser--a pseudo-intellectual asshole, even. hope it's not you. Bowie, Gossip, Clash and Frank Sinatra are favorites here. welcome to the site (unless you're that loser I mentioned). (if you are: get lost, buddy. I was here first.)
Definitely un-crappy mix! Delightful variety. Things have changed since high school, so don't let the location get you down. Music is always with you wherever you are. Things will get better. Keep mixing!
...at least you don't live in Wenatchee.
Huh? How could the home of the Kill Rock Stars label be a craphole?
Everclear is such a wonderful band. Nice to see them included.
