Comment:
So yesterday, I set myself a simple task that quickly got out of hand: I was going to make two completely seperate and unrelated mixes, one for a recent ex-girlfriend and one for a girl I've taken a liking to, but after finding a perfect song for each from The Mountain Goats, a new challenge dawned on me. Can I make these two mixes that are essentially complete opposites but use all the same artists in the same order and not compromise the flow of either mix? Apparently yes. Here's part two.Feedback:
I like some of these bands and dislike others, but this is an awesome idea for a mix
When I think "Harvey Danger breakup song" I think "Problems and Bigger Ones." Props on closing with "Fucker," though.
now I feel bad for Kendra Marie 'cause everyone at AotM knows she got dumped. must you name names?
this is my kinda series :) you should post it as a cassette and pin the two off of each other like that - makes the comparison that much more amazing! the best part - is that the theme doesn't detract from the greatness of the mixes.. helps that you chose some solid artists to begin with. Thanks!
I love this idea, along with Portishead, Leadbelly, eels and White Stripes.
Ironic - I recently had a student named Kendra that I had to tell to not come back because she just wasn't putting anything into the course.
