Comment:
I've posted a fair few mixes on AotM over the last couple of years as most of you will know. Some of them have been blended to (im)perfection, but this is my first attempt at a `Mixed Mix'. And I post this with some excitement. Yes, I know this genre may have many people hiding behind the sofa, but I urge y'all to give this a listen. Because I reckon it is quite listenable, and I'm actually rather proud of the result. As it progresses the `mixing' gets more confident and assured, and more importantly it's a lot of fun. Well my idea of, anyway.A huge thanks to Nomates for help with the artwork. Download this here , and enjoy!

Feedback:
Let me be the first to say: well done, Sammy. I have been listening to this barrel of electro-monkeyness all this live-long day. It's almost banished my irritation towards Chelsea FC and bizarre squad-rotation decisions...and that's not to be sniffed at.The mix is chock full of bouncing beats and funtastic tunes. It contains blissful blendings and grin-inducing twists and turns. You have every right to be "proud of the result", Sammy and yes, as you so helpfully point out, "it's a lot of fun". Oh yes, Sammy will win, on goal difference alone, if need be. Spin it up, Sam, spin it up...
Robyn and The Knife! Yay! I think I just might have a listen to all the rest, as I'm quite unfamiliar...
I have a confession: I love love love that Robyn song! And the Chems, and Peaches, and... well, yeah, this looks GREAT! Can't wait to hear how it all turns out.
Way to go Sam, keep it going.
excellent stuff
love the artwork, and the mix is pretty cool too. nice going!
this is a genre i'm usually love-it-or-hate-it with, though recently i've tended to enjoy much of what i've heard...so i'll have to give this a spin to catch the loose strands i don't know, though what i do know here i like alot
POP*POP*POPPIN' good fun here, Sammy
Always good to branch out, love the artwork too. Looking forward to the d/l.
Nice 1 Sam, can't wait to give this a listen. A 'mixed' mix on AOTM, steady on, you don't want to set a trend!
GREAT cover! I'm looking forward to the link as well.
Nice intro, Sammy...some neat stuff that you have initially turned me onto.....and, of course, some bonofide all time jonpoi favorites towards the end. Yippee on the Trans Marrakesh Express. And that cover? I am downright envious. BTW, you haven't heard your best mix o' the mix yet....there is always the hangover of "Oh, shit! I could've done that!!" I have a lot of appreciation for this mix and am looking forward to the next one. Cheers on a job well done.
Y'know, it took me a while to put two and two together, but I have now figured out that the Ting Tings song is about you, Sammy! Nothing but the girls, and the boys, and the drums.
Mylo, the destroyer of rock'n'roll, has got quite a way with samples, and I am sure Bette Davis and Kim Carnes will agree with me that this mix is tops.

Kathryn loves that Robyn song. And Annie too. You may think that electropop is more K's thing....well as she's a child of the 80's and I'm of the 70's it's clear who prefers keyboards to guitars....or is it? Because I love that Depeche Mode song and Kraftwerk and Le Tigre and more, I suspect.
Only know a handful of tracks here but eager to give it a listen.
Tremendous. MoTW.
Daft Punk, yeah .... Chemical Bros, digging it .... Peaches, OK .... you got me ... Kraftwork ... of course ... ACH! Human League!
Half of this is banana'sm whilst the other is stuff I can't stand! Amazing effort though, as the half I do like, I really like. Amazing flow too. Will never get sick of that Annie track.
Looks fantastic, mixmaster Sammy. Can't wait for the day to end so I can DL it while I sleep. That Ting Tings song is awesome. Have you heard "That's Not My Name"? It's equally catchy. Also diggin' the Dubstar, Yukari Fresh, Annie (when are we going to hear more from her?) and Le Tigre. Great cover too! BTW, I was the first person ever to put a Depeche Mode song on an AOTM mix ;)
For as much as I loathe Peaches (it's an ex-girlfriend thing, although I don't particularly imagine she'd do much for me anyway), I really dig the Kraftwerk, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers and Human League tracks. :-) The rest I'll have to listen to....
oh, Sam. I'm afraid you've caused another stir at my workplace. we had to erect a fence down the middle of the room so everyone could take sides. a very interesting avenue you've driven me down here, mister. loved the Robyn, The Knife, Human League and what I'm grateful to see Mixxer has revealed to be the song by Ting Tings. I think that was the catchiest one of all. glad to see your mix brought jonpoi out of the woodwork... and yes: Bette Davis loves this mix. some friends and I had a sTance last night and asked her.
Of all your mixes, Sammy, this has to be one of my faves. Your little girl and me love dancing around to Daddy's Superstar DJ Mixey-Mixing!!
d'Tirigh go geal leis

Congrats Sammy! I haven't given this a thorough listen, but love the Robyn... She's in town soon out here, sounds like a fun show.
Well done with MOTW.
Congratulatory laudational kudo-linas...& all that stuff!
Congrats! Like Saaf, I'll be listening to this in the friendly skies on a trip to Minnesota. Hope the flight attendants won't restrain me when shake my rump during takeoff.
i know some of these tracks, but haven't heard em mixed together. interesting.
Damn, Sammy ... you always deliver. I can't stop (downloading &) listening to your mixes. As I have a 2.5 hr commute each day this will be listened to over & over again in my oc way ... that is, until the next one arrives. Props to DJK for the selection.
Sheer excellence. Keep sharing the love.
Congrats... looks good and I'm looking forward to checking this out.
Looks interesting...plenty of names I've been reading about latelybut not got round to hearing. Downloading even as I type...
Congratulations, Sammy. This mix is still on repeat in my car... it's so damned hypnotic, no make that just damned good! Again please :)
