Recycled of the Recycling Mix? It had been since July that I made my last Monkey mix, but I was inspired to make this driving home tonight noticing that my radio flipping kept landing back on my daughter's favorite radio station. So this is a tribute to the number one "little girl who was almost a lady" in my heart, as a big gracias for reminding me that there are only so much ironic posturings and misanthropic noodlings one can take, sometimes you just gotta have fun with music. My methodology here was to go on doowadette's itunes play count and pick my favorites from there, with hopefully a surprise or two for her. Oh, yeah, and I have had the lyric "she's just being Miley" rattling round and round my cranium for a couple months.Have a listen...

I think Kathryn and your daughter would get on well. She likes that Timbaland song which I have to admit irritates me, mainly the title, it should be the way I "AM"; yes I'm all for the English language evolving but that's just bad grammar. Now I've got that out of my system my picks on here would be Amy and Estelle. And Shakira simply for her hypnotic hips.

Teach your parents well! Great to see the cross-pollination of musical tastes works in both directions in the DooWad household. Love the closing pair.

what a sweet tribute - love the amy winehouse track, & that kanye track is one of the few worthwhile songs on what is quite a disappointing album...

a) I love the title.

b) There are four songs on here I like. The rest give me big old hives.

I also love the title - and open minded as I am, enjoy a fair few of these tracks. Agree with K&R very much Amy & Estelle probably the best of the bunch ( and that's not just flag waving ). And terrible Gramurr - The Way I Are indeed. Great tune though...

This looks wild, and upon listening this is wild. Digging the mainstream artists you've picked out here...

Lots of sugar here but I like the opening pair. Lauryn Hill doesn't release enough music for me.

Very nice. I love that "Killing Me Softly" cover and I never stopped liking "Don't Speak", either.
