Now that the new wave/punk nostalgia has crept into our culture as if it was written by someone who is suffering from amnesia, it was time to dig thru the ole' 45's and such and create a mix of some "forgotten" or "lost" new wave/punk/pop records of that era. Some of the artist would gather more recognition (Television, Richard Hell[the Blank Generation track is the ORk single version], Fleshtones). Others would vanish and others would spawn the likes of Brian Setzer, The Fuzztones and Glenn Branca.
