not many people knew that it was danny who invited bruce to join what became the e street band... it's been a few weeks - and sadly, a couple more people i know who've also passed away sooner than they should have - but i'm still awful sad to think that the e street band is mortal."all aboard, nebraska's our next stop"

Thanks for sharing, I hadn't heard that he passed away, though I knew who he was. Sandy and Wild Billy's are two of my favorite early Bruce, ramrod and downbound train are two of my favorite mid-career Bruce and secret garden and tougher than the rest are two of my fave later Bruce songs.

The E Street Band and Bruce were incomparable in their heyday. I saw them on countless occasions and they usually delivered much more than anyone had the right to expect.
