Even hep cats have hearts — just feast your ears on “Someday My Prince Will Come,” the waltz-time wonder from trumpet titan Miles Davis, or the sonic shimmer of Dave Brubeck & Paul Desmond’s intimate scene-setter “Stardust.” Those two tracks alone are proof of jazz’s power to sway hearts and minds, but we’ve got a whole playlist of Romantic Jazz Essentials loaded with love-struck daddios and starry-eyed chanteuses.
