I have recounted the story of where my nickname originates before and so it surprised and disappointed me to find out that I was not the only doowad on the planet, since there is only one Wad (and consequently only one doowadette.)Apparently there's a "DJ DooWad", Karen's line of work, trying to come up with an English-looking word with a Hungarian meaning. Here's a sample of his (or her, as Loretta would say) work, appropriately titled: @import url(http://beemp3.com/player/embed.css); DJ DooWad - Copy Found at bee mp3 search engineSince he (or she) allegedly ripped off my nick, I am nicking one of his (or her) (also appropriately-titled) CD labels here for my pic. Hell, at least I'm giving him (or her) some free publicity.

As a child I thought I was the only person in the world called Rupert. I was pleased when I discovered there were others because I didn't want to be the only one lumbered with it. Love the 8-10 run, I'm quite proud that I actually know three in a row on one of your mixes. Quite annoyed I don't have any Paul Revere though.

How do you find the time? But, of course, I'm just jealous. Like the Dylan and Levon, of course, and pretty much the whole 5-11 run.
Lots of favorite voices on here. The Big Mama Thornton and Jr Walker tracks are top notch.
Tracks 8-10 work very nicely together. And I always pay attention to a mix that contains Bill Morrissey.
There's only one Doowad... But, before you feel too aggrieved, take heart - I'm not even the only 'Gandy' on Art Of the Mix! Great double CD of mixes btw..
