Inspired recently by this Mix, I decided to compile a mix of Sam & Sammy's in the world of music. And why not? Some fine tracks by little known artists sit comfortably here with the greats such as Cooke and Davis Jr. The Sam Carty track, for instance, probably my favourite song in the world right now..Thanks to the following for tracks featured on this mix. Thomas_Mohr for the Sammy Davis Jr. Orchid for the Sam Carty. Blasikin for Ernie Smith, and Saaf for both the Sam Chalpin and Sam Ervin..

what a terrific 'sam'ple of great tunes from your collection. I agree; the Sam Carty song really is great. also the Ervin version of "Bridge Over..." and Sammy tracks by Smith, Davis Jr., Fletcher, Jones (of course), Taylor and especially Sam Rosen! I'm afraid Mr. Chalpin's "Satisfaction" gave us none, though it did raise some eyebrows. side two favorites were Mark Wirtz, Little Name and "Fireman Sam." of course I was going to mention the omission of the ONJ song, along with suggesting Sam Fan Thomas for the next edition, while thanking you for leaving out Sam Harris altogether. Sam is the man!

This is great. Inspired and fun. It's funny, but I was going to riff on the same Carly Simon song that Moe did... great minds think alike! In the meantime, to chime in to what Bear said, there's no way that there are enough great Robs in musical history to make one of these.
