60 minutes. this is one of the more personal mixes i've posted. last summer/fall my marriage wasn't doing terribly well, so i started a mix of songs that communicated my biggest fears about what could happen to us, and in some respects, what i felt was happening (drifting apart, infidelity, eventual breakup). luckily we fought our way our of that funk and things are brilliant. i guess it's a thing that all relationships go through, but i hope it never happens again. i finally took the time to finish it today and it serves as sort of a reminder to myself not to ever let things get that bad again.

wow, man - this one really hits close to home. there are two songs here that hit so unbearably close to home, in fact, i can barely read the titles without wincing in self-reference (the cursive & death cab songs, for the record) - the radiohead, honorary title & bright eyes do it for me too. this is terrific...

My experience with this sort of thing was that it changed forever the relationship, not necessarily in a bad way or a good way, more neutral. This mix is very good, also as a reminder of the paths we choose.
