A mish mash of great stuff I've been listening to recently. And yes, not for the first time a collection under 80 minutes featuring 30 tracks. I love me a short song I do!The title `The Secret Mix' is one that has been a working title on many occasions for me, before finding a more relevant name. This time I found a relevant cover, so the title stays. It's not a secret anymore, so download and Enjoy!
Thanks to Ed for The Blow track. And to Mark P for The Flight Of The Conchords. Actually the TV series passed me by even though I'd heard good things about it. Upon hearing that track on one of his mixes, I went and bought the DVD - and now I L.O.V.E It!

I love secrets! Haven't gotten around to hearing the Conchords album but I sure did enjoy the show. Also like the Dukes, Minders, and Easybeats here, among others. Nice!
La Buena Vida might be covering the J.Richman song. Kathryn likes a short song....me,I like a short skirt. Splendid mix as usual.
i'm hoping "that summer feeling" is a jonathan richmond cover because it's a great song.

my favorites on this one were Biirdie, Super Furry Animals, Pop Levi and Tilly & the Wall. had to look twice during La Buena Vida, thought maybe my i-tunes had flipped over to a Doowad mix! ;-) more great stuff, Sam. thanks for sharing it.

ooooooey! that fleet foxes track has been my favorite lately. plus major props for the carrots, tilly, the blow, and, of course and always, they might be giants. pop perfection.

Damn! This mix was so secret that your biggest fan almost missed it! Actually you can blame AOTM's recent "website not found" problems on it slipping past me unnoticed -- at least until now anyway. Haven't downloaded it yet, but I do see some worthy cuts here: Dukes, Bristols, Minders, Conchords (recently rented the DVD. L.O.V.E. it too!), ARS, Tilly. Subs (one of my favorite songs at the moment), Tilly, SFA and the Go-Betweens. I'm sure that list will get longer after I hear it. Great cover BTW (an outtake from you previous mix?). Love the taste of that Sammy cola! Buuuuuuurp.

The quiz answer - yes, La Buena Vida covered Jonathan Richman. Sport, I'm not 100% sure but I think it was Minutemen who covered the Urinals. But I'm not certain on that one..
