Comment:
The final disc and first fifth disc that I've ever done for a single-artist mix. See my previous volumes for more liner notes. Again, this time frame is limited--the last stages of the White Album through the end of Abbey Road. Last tracks cut from the series: "With a Little Help from My Friends," "Don't Pass Me By," "Wild Honey Pie," "Boys," "Love You To" and "It Won't Be Long." (It makes me sad that no Ringo vocals quite made the cut, as I actually like his voice well enough.)Feedback:
Labor of love Rob....
Bummer on Don't Pass Me By, but Old Brown Shoe is my fave late Beatles song.
A labor of love.
Retro Joe just posted a Fleetwood Mac playlist, noting how the band's style had changed with the shifting personnel. Here on your amazing 5 CD set, it is clear how The Beatles changed their style while keeping the same members.

I don't think you can really go wrong in making a 5-disc single artist mix for the Beatles. It probably wouldn't work with 97.5% of any other band, but it works with the Beatles especially the way you've masterfully selected tracks from alternate/mono sources. Amazing work, Rob.
The opener is another one that has always stuck with me. I know its chronological but it makes for an interesting way to close the 5 discs with PP/Bathroom Window.
Well I guess I'm a little disappointed that Dear Prudence and Martha My Dear didn't make the cut, as they're personal faves from the White Album. Guess I'll have to make my own 5 CD set ;)
I disappear for a few days and a Beatles mix appears. Who'd have thought it ;)
I'm with Moe on Martha My Dear, there are not enough shaggy dog songs in the world.

I note no Revolution #9. hehehe...
