Comment:
Last time I did a mix of 1991 tunes it was based on the top 40 UK charts. This time it is based on the Billboard top 100 charts.Towards the end of the mix the focus is on Marc Cohn who won a Best New Artist Grammy in this year. Unfortunately, this was the only year of note in the charts for his career. Thanks to Callum in Scotland who played Marc Cohn's biggest hit on Yahoo while I chatted with him via mike (and so the idea came about to do this mix). If you are wondering why only 18 songs, well they averaged over 4 minutes a song in 1991.

Feedback:
I love Marc Cohn, from then till now. Really brings me back to the old wood hippie couples I collected when I was Anthony's age, so he has figured prominently on my wood hippie samplers over the years. Seems to be a really nice chap, too. I came close to putting Mr. Wahlberg on a mix once.Losing My Religion was a favorite that year, Stipe's coming out of the closet.
Hard to believe 1991 is already 17 years ago . . . The La's are still an ear worm in my head from time to time.
I saw Marc Cohn in Massachusetts last year during his autumn tour. He really got some hype when he first appeared on record. It just never materialized in a popular sort of way for him.
