Comment:
Got to talking to a coworker about music, and he asked what I'm listening to these days. As often happens in those situations, only a few things came instantly to mind, so I went home and burned this. Stuck with stuff from the past few years (i.e. 2000-2007) still in semi-regular rotation in the Kulcher stereo. Most of this has shown up on other mixes of mine, but that's the sort of thing this is.Feedback:
The Shazam and Band of Horses are right up my alley...
Man I love that Essex Green CD. Splendid mix o' stuff.
pretty much filled with what's been coming out of my speakers over the past few years too - 1-5, 8, 11, 13, 18 & 21 are pretty stellar to these ears
and this is the sort of thing that we like.I always have the same problem when people ask me what I like. I feel so lame.
I love to hear "What are you listening to?"Flatt and ScruggsIggy PopMarvin GayeMinistryElvisRoy OrbisonDeath Cab For CutiePet Shop BoysKlaus NomiClint Eastwood and Lee Marvin in Paint Your Wagon... okay, that is just for shock value...
I could be listening to a lot of this....the Shazam, I thought they had been forgotten.
I couldn't tell you how many mixes I've compiled that were instigated by music discussions with co-workers. I'm sure it's the same way with you. As usual, you've been listening to some good stuff, as there's not one bad apple in the batch.
All sorts of favorites here. The opener rivals "Hey Jude" for the best sing-along. And I listen to that Ritter song at least once a day. "I love the way she looks in her underwear" indeed! Fantastic mix.
Good all-around mix. That Apples In Stereo song is a personal fav.
Songs seem to stay in rotation a little too long around here also, not that it's a bad thing.
