fannin' street is one of the better waits covers by scarlett. i am still trying to decide what i think about it.
Some great stuff here Peter! Love the Ida Maria (when will we get a full length CD?), Pete & the Pirates, Tilly & the Wall, my favorite track from the new Malkmus and the ABBA-esque Music Go Music. Scarlett can sing to me anytime ;)

Lots of stuff here to check out. I grabbed that Scarlett Johansson despite the bad press and I really like it for what it is. Moody, atmosphearic 4AD stuff, cool concept and interesting people involved but certainly not a great album. I guess the rock press wanted another singing hollywood bimbo and cried when they didn't get it.
Diggin' the Malkmus. I really don't like that Scarlett album at all, and I really gave it a shot--I listened to it a few times in a week a few weeks ago just to make sure I wasn't feeling reactionary.
Don't know much here. We should trade. How good is the Tilly Song though? Answer : Very.
