Memory is treacherous, as I sometimes say when talking to myself (a bad habit). Memory deceives and betrays and creates worlds that never existed, offers false pictures of the past to fill the vacant spaces of the present. Still, we mainly cherish the past as a happy time, the time before whatever happened to us happened.
Whew! That was a real downer. But events and emotions have been coming together lately in a perfect storm that threatens to upset the applecart I've been coasting along in. How could it have come to this? Not sure. But as William DeVaughn (and here Massive Attack) advise, just be thankful for what you've got.
