Comment:

Radical feminism! Empowerment in 31 tracks! Yeah! This mix was compiled a several years ago from music on the label Kill Rock Stars following a time when I first became "aware" of this little thing called feminism and was immediately intrigued. I think that most, if not all, of the tracks were featured as mp3's on the KRS Web site once upon a time. I recently dug up the CD as I was packing for my move and I re-compiled the mix, changed the track listing a little bit.

Flyer artwork is from the KRS site.

Great stuff. Reminds me of a particular time in my life putting on riot grrrl bands in London. Hey,I even get a mention in the book Riot Grrrl, on page 89 I think. Oh my ego.

Not my cup of tea, but I'm glad to see it, definitely.Glad to see mixers not "afraid" of the website too.

I love your picks by Mary Lou Lord, S-K, Huggy Bear and Kleenex/Liliput, and have always had a soft spot for "New Radio."

KRS had some really good stuff and a lot of clunkers. I applaud the concept, though.
