Comment:

I've been doing a lot of karaoke with friends lately... & still trying to widen my personal selections as much as possible ;-) Still, I'm always drawn to songs by many of these artists when I see them listed & end up singing some like Sheryl Crow & 10000 Maniacs... & others I have yet to see at any karaoke bars... um, Juliana Hatfield, anyone?!?! the other 2 mixes I did like this had all singles that were popular on radio/eMpTV, but i tried to mix in more album tracks this time. BTW, women ROCKED in the 90s... what happened??? except for some indie-rock (Metric, Cat Power, etc.) & plentiful dance singers, i can't think of nearly as many female rock singers of this decade to even make a compilation like this :-( Anyway, I'll make a 4th edition of this later... & if you're wondering who this singer is, it's definitely one of these ;-)

How true--the '90s did rock harder. The future will hold something new to surprise us, as music goes in cycles. Who's that in the photo?

What about Throwing Muses? Bratmobile? Nice to see some late period Lush and a remarkable opener. I think the Sundays first LP is Kathryn's all time favourite Lp and it would be in my top ten.

Wow, love those Lush and Cowboy Junkies tracks a bunch. Plenty of other great choices too, 1-2,10-12 being among them...
