Comment:
Good evening folks, and welcome to the latest installment of the Mutual Appreciation Society. I am your host, Funky Ratchet.I have always been a big admirer of Texas Hobart's blues, folk, and country mixes, so I jumped at the opportunity to do a mix with him. The picture served as our inspiration - the final panel from "The Willowdale Handcar" by Edward Gorey. If you know anything at all about either of our music tastes, it shouldn't be hard to figure out who's odds and who's evens; I just hope the couple of curveballs I threw in served to further the atmosphere we were going for, rather than disrupt it. Thanks again, Tex...I'm really pleased with the results!D.M.G.

It was a pleasure mixing with you. I like your picks.
OH. HELL. YES. And I'm supremely happy to see that opener. Awesome.

Thanks for sharing guys.
You guys are amazing! Thanks for a great mix and for continuing this series of paired talents.
Ah,Mr Cohen, guaranteed to make the evening swing. I love Edward Gorey, should Kathryn and I ever procreate our children's first encounter will be with Mr.Gorey {followed by L.Celine).
I adore Edward Gorey as well. The mix is fascinating.
The first welfare mother I dated was from Jasper County. That was a hell of a show, did you ever manage to download the "last night" recording?Oh, uh, great mix you guys, it wasn't till track 20 that I was convinced of who was who.
what sammy said, exactly, pretty much - quite brilliant, love the twangy, bloozy vibe of this
Really nice looking collaboration. Well done!
Hey, whoever is who doesn't matter. The mix flows wonderfully.
This mix looks great - I particularly love the Furnace Room Lullaby album.
Great stuff!I dig the 13th floor elevators, Earl, Doc Watson and leonard especially.Plus, hurray for Edward Gorey!
