Comment:

A Mix made early on a Sunday Morning after a rough Saturday, and with a very sore head. Things are much better now, and for that I'm happy. The resulting mix is still a great listen for me.. Download Here
Or listen to a selection of the mix here..

Even though I hate Canada geese with a passion, I love the cover, it sets a mood. And the mix doesn't look too shabby either.

Kathryn approves of the Sprout and I'll go with a bit of Bonnie Prince Billy to cheer me up.

This is gorgeous and I literally cannot get enough of Fleet Foxes these days. For the first time in a long time, MOJO is dead-on. Otherwise, I love your opening trio, track 9, tracks 14-20 and 22. One of my favorites of yours, I'd say.

Just listened to that Dennis Wilson album, after hearing a track on WFMU. Thought it was really, really nice. And, not-to-shockingly, you've represented this artist far before I even thought of including. You lead. I'll happily follow.

I like to expand my mind so there is plenty of room for contradictions. Looks quite special - too bad no link this time - but we'll get by with a little help from the song titles (MSP especially).

this is mind-blowingly gorgeous, absolutely phenomenal. 1, 3, 6, 9-10, 15-18, 20, 22-23 are all highlights for me. i am dying to hear this, i can't wait to pop this on while it storms tonight. one of your very best, sammy, honestly. if it is AT ALL possible for me to get my hands on a physical copy of this, please let me know.

Quite a nice collection here, Sam. The Jayhawks track is incredible, and many others, too make me want to hear this.

nice. some "different sounds" from you on this one, sammyg. that Mazzy Star is a classic at my house, also loved the Johnny Cash track, Fleet Foxes and Dennis Wilson. speaking of "Fly Away," I just stepped into the hallway and found a bird flitting around. fortunately, it was quite a bit smaller than the ones pictured here. he/she flew back out the doorway and said a quick goodbye from a makeshift bike-handle perch. a good omen, I think.

I was up to my waist in Barbies in KC when you posted this, so I apologize for my tardiness. I wouldn't have guessed this was a Sammy mix if your name wasn't attached to it, but it certainly looks exceptional. Some fine tracks by the Sprout, Mazzy and Nick Drake. Heard Fleet Foxes for the first time a few weeks ago, and I see (and hear) what the fuss is about. A band to watch. Now where'd I put my pellet gun.

Hey, Sam, did we do an alt-dj and I didn't notice ;-) ?!Needless to say, this is outstanding, I haven't had the pleasure of listening to this, but it is nice to see quite a few of moi's usual suspects here. Glad the AOTM gods finally allowed me the pleasure of commenting.Posdata: I came very close to buying a Dennis Wilson double-album Saturday in Chicago, but the $28 price tag turned me off...So, Sammy hungover = quasi-doowad?

I can't wait to dive into this one...without the benefit of a listen, I really like 1,2,9 and 16-18.

Outstanding mon ami, I've been away a few days so apologies for the late comment. This is most certainly something moi et Madame Connection would listen to of a Sunday morn.

Nice. Enjoyed listening to this on a rainy afternoon like today in my hood. I'm assuming you went to the MBV show as per your comment on the soreness of your head?
