Lots of perky pop here, balanced out by a few folky ballads and beautiful dreamers. For the record, "Freight Train" is my favorite folk song, and Laura Gibson's version is pretty great.I'll be posting this to my muxtape pages on 6/26 or so (see my profile for more info).

The Morning Benders! When I saw them play in Davis, I was thinking the whole time that the singer looked like my brother. And at the end of the show, two people I didn't even know that well asked me if he was. They are quite good!
Great variety and positive vibes here.
I'm a fan of both perky and pop, so I know I would like this. Great to see the recently maligned Long Blondes, the ABBA-esque Music Go Music (looking forward to a full-length), the happily married witch children Mates Of State, and the yella Submarines. Still haven't explored the whole muxtape phenomenon. Guess I need to get on the bus!
