This is a compilation of some of my favourite harder-edged songs, mostly drawn from the garage rock genre, where the innovators and interspersed with the replicators - mainly to see if the new can hold up alongside the old. Either way, it's chocful of gritty, foot-tapping psyche-pop to rock out to.Thanks to sammyg123 for introducing me to that Wimple Winch track!

we had a sort of James Phoenix mix party at work this morning. this is actually the second one we listened to. the old/new garage rock really go together in a nice way. lots of favorites on this one, including The Black Lips, Magnetic Fields, Clinic, The Seeds, A Place To Bury Strangers, Kenny & the Kasuals, Wimple Winch and Balloon Farm. as usual, your artwork is tops too!
