Comment:
the second in the music for artists series. this one is for edward hopper. the title is taken from a hopper painting. i went more for mood on this one... languid. but i also went for songs about color, light, and the sun... which hopper was a master of. hopefully this gets close to his moody, warm landscapes. he was much more than just 'boulevard of broken dreams'....Feedback:
very well-crafted and lovingly thought-out...i bet this one would sound real good with some wasabi peas and an arnold palmer.
I dig it cat. I think you have done it again. Of course when I saw that the omnipotent one was on the tear again, I knew to expect the best. Honey Power really captures the spirit of the artist the best I think, but that is just an opinion. Papa luvz ya!
this sounds lush.
I went through a period where all my tape covers would have a piece of art as the cover. Might I request Heironymous (sp?)Bosch?
Bosch is on my list of artists to make tapes for.... you have damn good tastes in artists. too bad he didn't produce much.
Wow, not only is this mix great on its own merits, but it concerns one of my favorite artists. AND it captures the essence of Hopper perfectly...
