Comment:

File this one next to my AC/DC and KISS mixes. Despite the fact that, post-rehab, they morphed into one of the most offensive mechanical hit machines this side of Milli Vanilli, their '70s work (at least their first four, arguably five, albums) had some great moments. IMHO, I've compiled just about all of them here. Last tracks cut: "Make It," "Critical Mass," "Get the Lead Out,""Spaced" and "Pandora's Box."

I agree with you here, though I am not a huge fan, I appreciate the hits here. The Wad was an Aerosmith fan before he discovered Iggy. Dream on...

I agree with doowad here, though I am not a post-rehab fan, I appreciate that the entire back catalogue was re-mastered once Rick Rubin entered the picture. Thanks for this!

Dude, looks like a la...bor of love here. '70s rock is a fairly new guilty pleasure of mine, so I can appreciate - though I haven't yet made it to Aerosmith.

Ah the chocolate Morrissey band. Hmm, you may have to be English to get that......they're not really my thing and seeing as I know none of this it would be churlish and stupid to post a negative comment....all I know is that when Rob makes a mix it's usually right on the mark.

I like it, but you see me cryin' when others make light of this band... ok, the plane could have gone down at any time, but really... don't be a hater, kids...

Some great moments here indeed. Still like 1-2, 10, and 14 in particular.

I'm with you, Rob... post-rehab is a joke, but the old stuff, as a child of the 70s, was part of my everyday AM-radio listening experience. And like AC/DC and Kiss, I'd never intentionally seek out any of this, but if I happen to hear it it does bring a smile to my face. Alas, now that Aerosmith have become the Guitar Hero band du jour, I've heard more than enough of them to last quite a while.

I've always had a weakness for these guys (especially the "Rocks" album), and you've compiled some of their strengths here. Even their sixth album (Night in the Ruts) has a few choice nuggets, like Chiquita and No Surprize.

They're from my former home area - Boston - and Steven Tyler is a Celtics fan. Got to love 'em.
