Comment:
When Bo appeared on Ed Sullivan, he was supposed to perform track 7, but did track 4 instead (Ed was furious). Bo was born on December 30, 1928, in McComb, Mississippi. He died June 2, 2008, of heart failure. This mix is 59m58s long.var sc_project=3862289;

Feedback:
That's quite a strange looking guitar in the picture and a fine compilation.
a fitting tribute
I have always loved Bo, his interviews with Little Richard on the Hail Hail Rock n' Roll movie are classic. And anybody that can piss of Ed Sullivan is alright in my book.
Ditto wot doowad sez.
A Hall of Famer, if there ever was one!
And the strange guitar is something he built himself, as I understand it. Supposedly based on the Afro-American diddley bow, which was itself based on an African instrument.

Bo had the beat, & Ed Sullivan didn't.
A fine tribute to a man who created his own sound.
