songs for jean-michele basquiat. the title, root of lung, (as usual) is the title of a painting from 1986. this was pretty hard because there was sooooo much i wanted to put on here. so i might do a second volume of songs for samo. he painted robots. he liked music alot, like public enemy, miles davis, nina simone, cream, and the buzzcocks. i didn't want to repeat the soundtrack, and i didn't want stuff that ol' samo probably owned.... so here it is, 4 cups of irish breakfast tea later.

Another cool mix for another of my fave artists. My nod goes more to the second side, with particular props to the Spiritualized (VERY Samo), Smog and Mogwai tunes.
I was looking over your mixes and I really dig this one, a lot. I think this is the first mix I saw when I got here and I was blown away. Look forward to volume 2 if you make one or any other artist you do one for.
